Buy a few rolls of film and begin taking pictures at different distances, different light settings, using a flash and not using a flash so that you can get a good idea of how your camera and you operate best. Practice makes perfect and soon you will know just what to do with all circumstances in taking photographs.

The best photographs that are taken are ones that are usually unplanned and spur of the moment. The subject it usually more at ease and pictures don’t look planned or fake.

If the sun is not out, always use your flash to bring light into your photographs.

Simple trial and error will have you on your way in no time for fun photography that are lasting memories forever that can be handed down through generations.

If you are just getting into photography, the following tips will help you get started.

Start by buying a reasonably priced camera. You can get good quality photos from a mid-grade camera and won’t break the bank. Begin with a cheaper camera and work up.

Learn everything you can about your camera. Read the owner’s manual carefully.

Take pictures everyday and don’t be picky about your subject(s). Take your camera everywhere you go. Don’t leave home without it.

Fill the frame with your subject, if you are taking portrait shots.

If you are using a digital camera, don’t spend a lot of time looking at the display, just take pictures. Delete the ones you don’t like immediately.

Sign up for a class or go to a photography seminar. Associating with like-minded folks is a great way to share photography ideas.

Relax and enjoy your new hobby. There is no telling where it might lead you.
